I have worked at senior/leadership level for 20 years in the Charity and Not for Profit sectors. I have trained with weights since 1980 and spent two years training with a then world champ. I believe fully that genuine strength training offers the greatest capability returns for those in their 50's,60's 70's and beyond.
What makes us different to other personal training services?
We are a not for profit organization looking to provide the most cost effective way to help adults resist and reverse physical decline.
We’re not here to help you get a bikini body, we’re not about weight loss except where it prevents you from being healthy and active. We fight to build usable coordinated muscle mass connected by strong resilient tendons fixed to dense tough bones governed by well-coordinated neurological systems.
We are LIFE insurance. We say no matter how old you get you can still be LIFE ready. Ready to backpack in the mountains, swim in the sea, lift your grandkids, carry the groceries, run up stairs and take care of yourselves.
We want you to add real strength to your total fitness regime. We highly recommend fast walking, cycling, etc. for aerobic benefit and yoga/tai chi to maintain/improve range of motion. Both components will also contribute to your balance.
As a not-for-profit we are set up to help as many people as possible in the safest way that is most cost effective in terms of your money and time.
